Thinking
I like getting under the hood of human activity in both macro and micro terms. What drives us individual, us collective, why, and to what end? Lately, I’ve been piqued by the following:
- Can we market better lives?
- What would our Founding Fathers do if they had the Interwebz?
- How can we solve this hyperbolic time discounting situation?
I was not invited to matriculate in September of 2009 as a PhD candidate in a program that would let me use an economist’s methodology to answer these questions. This is probably a good thing as I’m pretty sure I’m more interesting than most folks in academia, if we assume that interesting equals “possessing wide and varied passions that ultimately lead to few if any productive pursuits, especially when combined with the attention span of a caffeinated squirrel.”
I have a few credits down towards my MS in Statistics at CUNY - Baruch.
